About Michele Neal
I was born on the Isle of Wight in 1961, but have lived a very nomadic life, having lived in over 35 houses to date! Four of those years were spent at a Boarding School.
At the age of 10 we lived in Gibraltar for about two years, which was a wonderful experience as a child.
Throughout my life, I have believed God existed and I knew that Jesus had died on a cross, but that was as far as my faith went, despite being ‘confirmed’ at boarding school at the age of 13, and having attended many different Churches over the past 30 years.
No one explained to me until 1992 that, in the eyes of God, I was a sinner and was in need of salvation. Once this had been explained to me, the following day I was baptised by full immersion in water and was filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues, just like the first disciples did on the Day of Pentecost!
I was changed from a broken and depressed wreck and was transformed into a person full of the joy of the Lord, and I knew that God had done something dramatic inside me through my new faith in Jesus Christ.
The Lord has performed many healing miracles in my life and the lives of others who I have prayed for in His authority and in His name.
However, through many wrong choices I have made in my life in Christ, my growth in faith suffered many setbacks over the past 21 years. But thankfully, in October 2011, God in His great mercy, reached down and extended His hand of grace and love to me, and showed me exactly what my un-confessed and unrepentant sins look like in His sight.
This was a deeply gruelling experience, but the fruit of this pain produced my first book ‘Come on Church! Wake Up!’ published in January 2013.
I thank the Lord for the experience He took me through and is still taking me through each day. My life has become very different to how it was previously. All the things that consumed my life and my time, I no longer crave to do anymore. This aspect was a sudden transformation brought about by the Holy Spirit, following the Lord revealing to me that the time I spent doing these things was causing me to neglect my daily relationship with Him.
Since that experience in October 2011, my desire to do the things I was excessively doing before has been completely extinguished! The things that were consuming all my time and energy were not sinful in themselves, but my level of doing them was akin to ‘idolatry’ and so God intervened in a big way to get my attention! And whilst He was at it, God revealed to me some areas of un-confessed and unrepentant sin that needed dealing with; hence my first book being written for the glory of God. A year later the Lord brought about the writing of my second book “The End of The World and What Jesus Has to Say About It”, published in 2014.
All I want to do until Jesus returns is to “be about my Father’s business” (See Luke 2:49 NKJV), and to do all of it for His glory. This is the only thing that matters to me now.
In between writing books, I am a housewife to my wonderful husband Chris, and a mother to my beautiful adult daughter, Emma. I am so thankful to the Lord that they both love and serve the Lord with their whole heart.
I enjoy the countryside, reading, photography, visiting teashops, and days out by the sea!
